Perfection is for machines

Wood, Carved by Hand. Flaws and All.

Every chisel mark is proof a human made it, not a machine. Hand-carved in small batches from solid Vietnamese wood.

Handcrafted in Viet Nam

Skilled hands, not machines, do the carving. Years of craft go into every figurine that leaves the workshop.

Small-batch Craftsmanship

Hand-carved in small batches, then finished with the wood's natural grain left to show. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

We are BeeRusty

  • "Bee" is our workshop, a fellowship of artisans, not a factory line.
  • "Rusty" is our refusal to sand away every honest mark until nothing human isleft.
Perfection is the product of machines. True beauty belongs to the human hand.

Our craft journey

Man inspecting a piece of wood in a workshop

1. The Selection

We start with ethically sourced wood. Only blocks with the most expressive grain patterns are chosen to begin the journey.

2. The Shaping

Excess wood is removed by hand. The form of the Chick begins to emerge from the raw block under the chisel.

3. The Refining

Hours of sanding, from coarse to ultra-fine. This patience reveals the wood's true character and creates a touch as soft as silk.

4. The Awakening

Organic beeswax oil is applied, awakening the deep, rich colors of the grain and protecting the piece for generations.

Vietnam Green Cypress

A fine-grain timber prized for its soothing, earthy fragrance. Ethically sourced, hand-carved, and unmistakably real.
